English

A B S T R A C T
Good urban governance is a multilateral process involving formal actors in city administration on the one hand and civil society actors as informal actors on the other, whose multifaceted interactions can lead to the reconciliation of diverse interests among stakeholders. The present study aims to analyze the indicators of public and social services, and the cultural and health-medical indicators of good urban governance in the city of Bostanabad. This research is applied in terms of purpose and descriptive-analytical in terms of nature and method. Data were collected through a questionnaire using three indicators (public and social services, cultural indicator, and health-medical indicator) and 15 items based on the responses of residents in Bostanabad, with a sample size of 290 individuals. To analyze the data, one-sample t-tests and Pearson correlation tests were employed in the SPSS software environment. According to the research findings, the participation of non-governmental organizations, with a mean of 3.80, has the greatest impact on good urban governance. Furthermore, the neglect of public and social services tends to be more prevalent in cities characterized by weak management and rent-seeking. Based on the conducted research and the residents' opinions in Bostanabad, among the factors influencing good urban governance are the provision of public and social services to citizens by urban management and the regular collection of taxes to realize urban development plans by the urban management system.
